Job Description:
Our client is a nationally recognized Real Estate company and
they're seeking a Senior Property Accountant. The company is one of
the fastest growing and successful real estate providers in the
country, therefore there is significant opportunity for growth and
advancement within the finance/ accounting department. The company
boasts a team-oriented and collaborative culture. You will be
joining over 20 energetic teammates in the commercial real estate
accounting department. Responsibilities for Senior Property
Accountant
- Manage month end close, including preparing all journal entries
/ accruals necessary to complete monthly financials
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Maintain monthly balance sheet work paper files for both an
office building and a TRS
- Produce accounting and property management report packages
which meet distribution deadlines
- Maintain proper internal control documentation
- Ensure accuracy of lease information entered into accounting
system
- Prepare monthly management fee billing / reimbursement
information for payment by owner
- Review and approve capital and operating invoices for coding
accuracy
- Submit weekly accounts payable funding request to owner
- Help with preparing capital and operating draw packages
- Maintain depreciation / amortization schedules
- Assist with quarterly reforecast and annual budget
preparation
- Interface with building management and owner representatives on
financial and operational issues
- Prepare annual escalation and settlement billings for CAM and
RET charges
- Responsible for the payment of real estate taxes and monitoring
of letters of credit
- Additional responsibilities as assigned Required Qualifications
for Senior Property Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
experience/education
- Minimum 3-5 years full cycle commercial office accounting
experience that demonstrates the ability to produce accurate work
in a detailed, organized and timely manner
- Working knowledge and experience with MRI and Kardin software
preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptionally strong qualitative and analytical skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft based
software
- Ability to work efficiently and independently Annual Cash
Compensation: $ 85,000 - $ 110,000#CFSAPR2022
