Job Description:

This position will collaborate with various lines of business, including Retail, Mortgage, Commercial and Small Business lending areas to guide the development and implementation of activities/programs that generate CRA credit and aide in growing the reach of Busey's commitment to the communities the Bank serves. In tandem with the Community Banking team, the CBDM manages current relationships with community partners, line of business partners, public sector entities, and the identification of new partnerships in effort to elevate the community as a whole.Additional Duties:

  • Building strong relationships with current and future customers and the development of a strong needs-based sales environment
  • Through the development of community (or Bridge Center goals--dependent on regional geography) goals and plans of action consistent with Bank objectives; source and identify potential referrals through sales calls and ensuring community is aware of Community Banking's full suite of products
    • Establish and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to develop and manage CRA programs within the regional footprint
    • Continue partnership with various bank departments to develop lending, investment and service programs that help meet the needs of low and moderate communities and individuals
    • Represent the Bank in appropriate forums for community outreach and lending opportunities
    • Assist in monitoring and tracking CRA outcomes and drive necessary program enhancements
    • Act as the key educational resource for all departments on CRA guidelines and outreach for lending, service and investments
    • Work with lending departments to increase community development lending
    • Assists in the development and implementation of a marketing strategy to promote awareness of products and services in low and moderate communities within the bank's assessment areas
    • Represent the bank at community events that lead to establishing SBA and Commercial leading relationships
    • Conduct presentations on financial literacy, homebuyer, and credit educationWHAT YOU'LL BRING Knowledge of:

EDUCATION, TRAINING & STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Community Banking Development Manager requirements:
          • A combination of targeted certifications/licensing, education, and community development experience or BA/BS degree minimum of 2 years of progressive community development lending, investment and service related activities
          • Strong analytical, communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills and organization skills
          • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
            • Community Banking Development Manager II requirements:
            • All of the above, including 5+ years of progressive community development lending, investment and service related activities
            • 2+ years of people management requiredStandards of Performance
