Title: Client Collections Specialist

Location: Naperville, IL 60563 (Hybrid 3 days)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Commercial Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial collections, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Strategically manage a portfolio of client accounts consisting of commercial business and trade customers through collections coordination
• Maintain aging lists and reports to communicate past due balances to clients and collect outstanding debts in a professional and timely manner
• Produce payment plan alternatives with clients who are unable to pay in full
• Review and analyze account metrics, DSO and credit limits
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment disputes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection activities and communications with clients
• Provide regular updates on collection progress to management team and assigned sales team members
• Research and investigate billing disputes and payment discrepancies and act to resolve
• Collaborate as a team to reach goals, recommend strategies and take appropriate workflow action to meet team objectives
  Requirements:
  
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial collections
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Familiarity with financial accounting systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
