Job Description Job Description Our growing Accounting & Banking Services (ABS) team is part of our Exclusive Family Office group that specializes in helping our high-net-worth clients with their personal and entity accounting. We are looking for a motivated senior accountant to join our team to be accountable for the preparation of financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly close. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, gain valuable expertise, and advance your career in a supportive and stimulating environment. Collaborative work environment – Together, We Achieve More Environment supportive to learning and growing your career Continuing education assistance program 401(k) with company match Bonus program Company contribution up to 95% for health insurance Hybrid work arrangement How you will contribute: Lead and manage client relationships with internal teams and external clients Be responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple clients Handle the accounting at month-end for multiple clients: Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card statements Post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries Prepare financial and cash flow statements Prepare budgets and comparison of actual to budget reports Ensure transactions are documented and supported according to compliance requirements Accountable for client-vendor management, including issues and disputes Manage new bank account documents Answerable for filing 1099s Maintain thorough client data files Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned Is this you? The attributes and talents that foster success in the role are: Knowledge: Someone who knows accounting and has experience with the month close process. High Proficiency in Word, and Excel, experience with AgilLink/Datafaction, QuickBooks Online, and Xero preferred but not necessary Skills: Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Excellent organizational skills A self-starter who is accountable for their work Must be a team player who will thrive in a small company environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills within a diverse office environment Excellent personal and professional references Abilities: Ability to work independently and provide follow-up with the team Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to consistently meet deadlines Ability to set priorities among a variety of tasks Experience and Education: We will consider any combination of experience and education which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. A typical way to acquire the requirements would be: Someone working toward the CPA or CFP 2 - 4 years of professional experience in an accounting or business management environment is preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field Physical Demands and Work Environment: Primarily sedentary work in an office with minimal distractions; walking throughout the office. Learn and memorize tasks; execute tasks independently; apply knowledge and use judgment to handle situations. Occasionally exert up to ten pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Perform repetitive motions; substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers for computer keyboard operation. Use near visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing documents, operating a computer, and reading. Speak and hear to communicate with team members and clients by phone and in-person.
