Job Description:
Overview: William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is in
search of a Project Manager to support transportation construction
projects in the electrical construction industry. This role can be
based in either our Indianapolis, IN or Rockford, IL offices. Must
be capable of up to 25% travel (e.g. 1 week or 5 days/month) by
automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental
vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public
facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this
job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have

dynamic work environments. Responsibilities: Partner with safety to
ensure safety programs are established and executed Financial
monitoring and reporting including cost monitoring, cost and
revenue projections, change order logs, under/overbilling reports,
invoicing, vendor and subcontractor invoicing review and approval
Work with project superintendents to identity applicable equipment
types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedule as
required Manage and update receiving and yield reports Maintain
cost accounting, schedule impacts, fully authorized change order
logs, and communication logs Submit monthly cost to complete
projections Weekly quantities reported and complied in ViewPoint
Keep change order log up to date Subcontract committed costs
tracking Estimating review to understand strategies, risks, and
opportunities Pre-construction planning with project team Review
and procure any permits or licensing required Sub-contractor scope
and schedule review Project documentation including submittals,
RFI’s, meeting minutes, work plans Project closeout including final
documentation, invoicing, retainage release Building relationships
in local marketplaces Interaction with project team, business
leaders, and management Other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management, or
related field preferred) At least 5 years industry experience,
overseeing multiple projects simultaneously A combination of
education and work experience will be considered in lieu of a
degree Knowledge/Skills/Abilities 5 years of experience working on
transportation projects Previous experience with Procore,
Build2Win, and/or P6 a plus Ability to read and understand of
contracts Strong analytical skills Detail oriented and good
organization skills Ability to communicate well with others, both
written and orally Proficient in Computer applications such as
Microsoft and time reporting systems Functional knowledge of job
cost accounting Thorough understanding of CPM scheduling Some
