Overview: William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is currently hiring a Foreman for underground project work in New Albany, IN. The Foreman is responsible for supporting and assisting the Project/Craft Superintendent with the overall craft management of a large or small construction project. The GF will be responsible for the management of their scope of work. They will manage at a minimum the safety, quality, labor, material, scope, client interaction, and overall execution of their area of responsibility. Responsibilities: Attend all required pre job meeting(s) Review the scope of each project with the Project Manager and Area Manager prior to beginning work Receive and review all union contracts prior to union pre jobs Set up job site prior to the start of the project Review and understand cost codes prior to starting work Communicate and maintain a good working relationship with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors and owners Ensure that all work is completed according to the specifications for the project Coordinate all subcontractor operations Manage the local union relationship Supervise all on site employees for assigned projects.
