Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A long-term
leave opening is available for a full-time Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP) specializing in middle school support in Des
Plaines, IL. This opportunity offers a travel assignment within a
school setting, providing a dynamic environment to impact students
academic and communicative success. Key Responsibilities: Support
language development and communication skills for 42-50 middle
school students. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs. Collect,
track, and analyze data related to student IEP goals to inform
progress. Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations,
preparing clear and professional reports. Collaborate effectively
with student IEP teams, educators, and parents to ensure cohesive
support. Qualifications: Valid Professional Educator License (PEL)
in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the Illinois State Board of
Education. Experience working as an SLP in school settings,
preferably with middle school students. Strong ability to manage a
sizable caseload and multitask within a structured schedule.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse
stakeholders. Assignment Details: Location: Middle School, Des
Plaines, IL Duration: From February 17, 2026, through an open-ended
end date. Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.
Travel position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to
different school environments. This role is ideal for an
experienced SLP looking to support student growth within a
structured educational program while engaging with a dedicated
team. Candidates must verify their Illinois PEL credentials to be

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.40 to $66.40.
