Up for Job AlertsCTG is looking for Senior Network Engineers for a
premier client for two of their manufacturing locations based in
Windsor, CO and Rochester, NY.The Senior Network Engineer is
responsible for helping to design, engineer, manage and support the
Client's global voice and data network. The Engineer will be part
of a Global Network team, working very closely with third-party
providers, implementing and supporting network solutions across the
enterprise. While there will be a primary focus on regional network
support in Windsor, Colorado, there are expectations that they will
be heavily interfaced with their global counterparts to ensure
consistent implementation and support of the network strategies and
environment.We are looking for a highly motivated, senior network
engineer with significant hands-on experience. The role is based at
Windsor, Colorado or Rochester, NY manufacturing facility,
predominantly supporting site-specific network requirements but
with the ability to remotely support all global networking systems
when required. A strong awareness and familiarization of the
regional Server and Desktop environment is also a requirement. The
candidate is expected to work closely with the Regional Business
management and will interface their needs to IT colleagues for
implementation. The role requires interaction with and coordination
of local/regional/global service providers to implement, manage,
and support the Client's enterprise Network environment. The
candidate will also be a key contributor on a Global
cross-functional team that will research, select, and implement the
planned roadmaps of newly defined systems and solutions our Client
needs.Our Client is a global company, requiring strong technical
and communication skills, and a willingness to work in a
fast-paced, changing environment, sometimes after hours if critical
regional or Global issues require.Location:Windsor, CO or
Rochester, NY - Should be able to come onsiteContract Length:6
month Contract to HireResponsibilities:* Provide day-to-day
operational support (including on-call) for Global, SD-WAN, DMVPN,
VPN and any other local network or Network device needs. * Manage
network implementations and projects through to completion, working
with the Regional and Global Business teams to ensure all site
moves and changes are known, managed, and consistent with our
strategy and expected timelines. * Perform network capacity and
performance monitoring for optimized QoS traffic, system tuning,
problem & change management * Manage Telecom configurations and
traffic patterns for all telephony and network devices. * Provide
Telecom support where and when needed for office staff, lab
environments, manufacturing locations and any specialized process
control locations where Telecom devices and/or services exist. *
Support all ITIL processes for Network and hosted environments
(coordination, asset inventory, etc.). * Develop and maintain
general deployment configurations for all network hardware and
associated documentation related to and including site/location
details. * Work with vendors\carriers as and when required. *
Maintain and adhere to Network related standards and Corporate
policies and standards. * Evaluate, specify, and direct IT hardware
and software solution implementations. * Assist BU and team members
with projects where Network resources are required. * Occasional
travel will be needed to Regional sites as necessary unless remote
support can accomplish desired goals.Additional responsibilities
might include:* Architecting complex/global/enterprise network
solutions and tools (sized, QoS balanced and redundant as needed).
* Developing and improving security management at the edge and
Internet POP's. * Monitoring and troubleshooting LAN/WAN
environments for problems and mistake proofing. * Ability to manage
multiple platforms and environments (i.e. Routing, Switching, IP
Telephony, Wireless, Firewalls, Security Knowledge and Monitoring
tools). * Develop Telecom and/or other IT related standards and
corporate policies.Skill Requirements:* Technical understanding and
hands on experience with Cisco hardware and configurations. *
Technical understanding and hands on experience with Load
Balancers, preferably F5 * Familiarity with network monitoring
tools such as Solarwinds * Technical understanding and hands on
experience with Fortinet Firewalls, related to policies, filtering
and operational support functions, or the equivalent Firewall
knowledge. * In depth knowledge of Networks, Ethernet, TCP/IP,
VLANs, IP Routing (OSPF, BGP) QoS. * Technical awareness of IP and
conventional telephony solutions. * General knowledge of Desktops
and Servers and their interaction with networking. * Experience
working with vendors to ensure they meet deliverables\SLAs *
Excellent People and Teamwork skills * Solid interpersonal and
communication skills, including the ability to communicate at all
levels within the organization. * Strong organizational skills and
demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple
priorities. * Ability to multitask and be flexible to accommodate
changing business needs and priorities. * Willingness to work in
on-call situations with other team members or when called in for
support. * Desire to identify and investigate Telecom improvement
opportunities, solutions and options that drive operational
efficiency or cost savings. * Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills with excellent attention to detail. * Strong customer focus.
