This saves customers money and reduces the carbon intensity associated with the legacy challenges of liquifying and transporting hydrogen. This allows BayoTech to serve a diverse set of end-users, including traditional consumers in the industrial gas and chemicals industries and those using hydrogen to power the fast-growing fuel cell segment.-- We are looking for passionate individuals who want to?help shape?the energy transition?to affordable?hydrogen.?-- JOB SUMMARY-- This position will be located in Tulsa, OK.-- The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that BayoTech pods and trailers are engineered to meet agreed-upon technical requirements. S/he will also support the supply chain and manufacturing functions with technical guidance and documentation to build our high-pressure hydrogen transportation products. The product line has an industry-leading position and this role will drive continuous improvement in performance and cost while assuring conformance with industry and DOT standards and practices. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-- The Mechanical Engineer is expected to become a subject matter expert for detailed engineering in the development of all hydrogen storage and transportation systems manufactured at BayoTech's facility in Tulsa (Catoosa), Oklahoma. This role works closely with supply chain and manufacturing to assure the delivery of robust and reliable products.------ The engineer will design and build fit-for-purpose solutions for hydrogen storage and transportation. Perform design calculations to specify critical components for pods and trailers, ensuring they are optimized for structural strength and load while conforming to regulatory requirements and safety margins.-- Prepare various drawings and documents such as mechanical designs (P&IDs, isometrics, assembly drawings, etc.),--bills of materials, specifications, and inspection and documentation requirements for:------ Storage vessels-- Storage vessel support frames (pods)-- Pneumatic controls Leverage external technical support (contractors, consultants) as appropriate to improve project execution efficiency. Review vendor documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations as required in support of project execution. Prepare technical portion of Requisition for Quotations (RFQ) packages, evaluation of vendor quotations, identify and resolve technical clarifications, and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).-- Periodically report on mechanical design status and project progress across functions and to management as required.-- Track engineering/design metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.-- Support risk assessments, HAZOPs, etc.-- KEY INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERFACES:-- Supply Chain-- Manufacturing-- Certification/Permitting agencies-- Suppliers and Subcontractors QUALIFICATIONS-- 5+ years of work experience in gas processing, petrochemical, and/or refining equipment, and/or industrial manufacturing of associated components and systems which operate under elevated pressures.-- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or greater, from an accredited university.-- Familiarity with high-pressure gas technologies, and the associated mechanical equipment and systems.-- Working competency in mechanical design tools, such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, Catia, or equivalent. Experience with running load, impact, and stress calculations is desirable.-- Demonstrable track record of implementation and business impact.-- Strong project management skills.
