Our client is a consumer products company in the pet wellness industry with products made in the U.S. using all natural ingredients and endorsed by the supplement council. They're building an in-house marketing team and are looking for an experienced Social Media Strategist to take on the responsibilities of curating, creating and publishing relevant and contextual content via social media to attract, engage, and retain specific audiences.
You'll lead social listening and influencer identification, outreach, and measurement. You'll also be expected to be innovative while leveraging best practices to continually enhance and optimize social media tactics.
This role will be part of a 6-person digital marketing team where you'll work collaboratively with your peers and executive leadership and will report to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Must Haves for Immediate Consideration: - Minimum 2+ years of professional social media experience, ideally for consumer- focused companies - Proficient in using HootSuite, Sprinklr or Sprout Social - Experienced in creating and publishing content for social channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkIn - Some experience in social listening, social media analytics review and reporting (beyond just likes and follows), community engagement and listening to brand reputation to leverage and use for content development - Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or relevant discipline
Daily Responsibilities: - Lead content development by ideating, curating and publishing content across all social platforms. - Measure overall effectiveness by reporting success metrics. - Continuously monitor, measure and report social activities, trends, campaign results and insights to drive constant improvement and reinvestment strategies. - Influencer identification, outreach, list management, and measurement for consumer and professional audiences. - Conceptualize and implement segment specific campaigns going from strategy through implementation, analysis, optimization, recommendations and reporting. - Track social media attribution and provide reporting on internal KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis. - Responsible for overseeing and moderating Facebook Groups and providing insights to leadership. - Research and test new social media platforms for relevance. - Execute trend analysis, monitoring and competitive SOV benchmarking. - Identify new opportunities for growth and methods to improve efficiency. - Partner with Customer Services and Operations teams to escalate and resolve inquiries and complaints voiced through social channels.
Other Experience/Qualifications Desired: - Experience building, executing and scaling performance marketing programs. - Understanding of best practices for social media and the impact on awareness, traffic, acquisition, and sales. - Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate in order to get the best results possible. - Experience using Canva or Creative Suite to create social graphics (not required). - Ability to shoot and stitch videos together for organic and paid social posts preferred. - Proven project management skills, effective collaborator and consensus builder with a focus on completing tasks on time and within budget. - Strong copywriting skills. - Direct hands-on experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and other social channels. - Strong knowledge of segmentation, optimization, dynamic content and testing different methodologies. - Ability to adapt, be flexible and welcome a changing work environment as the company grows. - Experience in wellness, supplements, vitamins or pet industry is preferred, not required.
