Position Summary: The Special Events and Volunteer Manager will have the ability to run successful and sustainable annual fundraising campaigns that will provide funding for Turning Pointe Autism Foundation as well as recruit and retain talented volunteers and supporters of the mission. Essential Job Functions: Lead and manage the event calendar for TPAF including signature/legacy events and cultivate opportunities for new eventsManage events logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, pre- and post- event evaluationsIdentify potential attendees, sponsors and event underwritersCollaborate with the Development Team to maximize on event and volunteer opportunitiesBuild relationships for events with vendors, community partners and volunteersSecure venues, create themes and work with sponsors and community members to execute high-quality eventsAssist in coordination of donor recognition and retentionManage and monitor event timeline and ensure deadlines are meetCalculate budget for events and adhere to budgetAssist in promotion of events in the community and on social mediaAssist in the input and management of the donor and prospective donor databaseBuild positive relationships with volunteers, donors and vendors to increase connections for TPAF missionAssist in the creation of the donor recognition programsPerform other work and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:
Experience & Skills:Previous experience in coordinating events and fundraising Understanding of non-profit organizations Physical Demands:May include lifting and supporting up to 50 poundsMay be required to bend, stoop, and kneelAbility to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurationsAbility to stand and circulate for extended periods of timeModerate to high stress levelsDaily contact with students, teachers, and school staffRegular contact with parents, community members and outside agency personnelMay be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behaviorPM21PI191497145
