The Supply Chain Systems Manager - Transportation role
predominantly supports the Inbound Transportation team within
Supply Chain. The role also supports other functions within Supply
Chain like Replenishment / Buying functions and cross functional
involvement with Outbound Transportation, DC Operations and
external vendor partners. The role provides support for on-going
continuous improvement projects as well as future strategic supply
chain project initiatives.
Bring best practices in relation to business processes and system
capabilities for Food Distribution Industry with thorough
understanding of all system capabilities regarding Transportation
Bring best in class cutting edge technology and capabilities to
reduce Transportation cost and Increase customer service.
Stay abreast and ahead of Industry curve with Transportation
Interpret analytical models, conduct analysis to gain insights into
business opportunities, propose solutions and quantify the
improvements in Supply Chain metrics.
Understand the Software Development and Implementation Lifecycle
and provide guidance to System Leads and Analysts around Design of
the solution, testing scenarios, engaging with the Load Planners to
perform UAT, etc.
Strong Analytical ability and problem-solving skills using large
data sets from Business Intelligence systems. Ability to summarize
data using Visualization and interpret results to drive business
insights and recommendations.
High level understanding of features like Ready to Ship, Invoice
Portal, Appointment Scheduling, Yard Management capabilities.
Understanding of innovation in the Transportation and Logistics
industry like RTTV (Real Time Transportation Visibility) and how
they interact with Inbound planning.
Integrate Manhattan TMS with other optimization modules for
Transportation like Arrowstream/Crossbow.
Partner with the Process and Training team and be able to
articulate impact on processes with capability changes and assist
in streamlining internal Supply Chain and cross functional
Continuous support to Customer Onboarding team to ensure smooth
onboarding is done to provide the best customer experience. Also,
support DC openings and closings to meet all business goals around
Ongoing measurement of systems stability, data accuracy, and
processes that drive efficiencies for the organization and the
partners we support
Work cross functionally with Sales, Category Management, DC Ops and
other functions within KeHE and drive engagement to improve Supply
Leading Enterprise Initiatives/Project Management, including the
development of comprehensive project plans, definition and
tracking/reporting of success criteria, managing project scope,
identifying potential issues, and developing contingency plans
Lead, Mentor and Coach System Analysts and Lead System Analysts and
play an effective role as an Influencer in the Organization to
perform Change Management and adoption of system capabilities and
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills,
Education and Experience:
Four (4) year college degree in Business or related field is
Eight (8) to Ten (10) years experience in Supply Chain Systems
including but not limited to transportation, warehousing,
supply-chain execution software and third-party logistics.
Manhattan TMS experience preferred. Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder or
other Transportation systems are a plus.
10-15% travel required.
