Reporting to the Sr Finance Manager, Commercial this is a critical role that provides sound financial analysis and insight into customer spending. Responsible for tracking trade spend and monitoring deductions, this role will play an integral part in transforming the finance department. Primary duties include analyzing, reporting, and tracking our trade investments that support our category leading brands. Duties also include managing the deductions team to ensure timely and accurate application of all customer deductions. Will include interaction with other departments across with company and at all levels of the organization.Essential Responsibilities:* Focus on margin expansion with emphasis on analyzing, reporting and tracking Wilton trade spend* Work directly with the sales team to ensure trade spend agreements are collected and all deduction are accounted for in the system* Monitors the execution of approved trade spends to compliance with agreed terms* Leads the deductions team ensuring timely and accurate processing of all customer deductions* Develop reports, KPI's, and metrics that provide insight into trade spending impact and where customer investments could be more effective* Identify issue with customer deductions and work with a cross-functional team to provide solutions* Partner with accounting during month end close to ensure financials are accurate and compliant* Assists with the annual financial planning, mid-term forecasting and strategic planning processes through review and analysis, and in the preparation of presentations for Senior Management and owners* Provide financial guidance to Business Unit Leads and make decisions on key financial issues* Add value to the business via creating maximum insight into the financial performance. Provide sound financial analysis that accompanies the investment programs* Maintain a continuous improvement approach including streamlining of key tasks and activities in the department* Develops ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by managementEducation and Experience:* Bachelor's degree with coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, required; Master's degree in a related field preferred* At least 5 - 7 years of related work experience requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5 to 7 years of experience with emphasis on the following areas:* Customer trade spending and deductions management* Experience with prior Trade Promotions Systems (TPM) and ability to learn new systems.* Excellent analytical and project management skills* Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required* Prior CPG experience preferred* Experience with SAP highly preferred* Change Management experience* Systems and Process Development and Implementation* Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.* Efficient organization and clear and concise presentation skills are requiredPhysical Demands/Work Requirements:* This role is sedentary in nature and requires the ability to be seated at a desk for majority of the work day.* While working off-site, employees are expected to work the same general hours that they were originally hired to work, and to perform their responsibilities as they otherwise would at a campus work location.* Ability to routinely use standard office equipment such as laptop computers, computer monitors/keyboards, photocopiers and telephones.* Ability to be on site at corporate office in a hybrid model.Wilton values an engaging in-person work environment with focus on cross-functional collaboration and problem solving.
