we'd love to talk to you! Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Supplier
Development Manager ('SDM') is responsible for maintaining KeHE's
excellence in business processes with respect to vendors, and
thereby improving KeHE's vendor profitability while insuring vendor
satisfaction with KeHE. They are accountable for working
collectively with the Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Pricing
Teams to maximize profitability, optimize business processes, and
positively impact supplier relationships from an administrative
perspective. Working cross functionally, the SDM will manage
assigned vendor profitability, supplier P&P execution,
deduction management, and business processes improvement involving
suppliers. The SDM will work closely with Category Managers on new
and existing supplier P&P's to help maximize the overall vendor
relationship and vendor profitability for KeHE.The SDM's
accountabilities are accomplished by: (1) Working cooperatively
with the category management team on supplier cost and profit
drivers, P&P negotiation/execution, and business process
administration. (2) Working cooperatively with KeHE's supply chain
on vendor and inventory initiatives to maximize vendor
profitability. (3) Working cooperatively with current and new
vendors and brokers within the Natural & Specialty products supply
chain to resolve & improve deduction management. All
accountabilities are to be fulfilled in a manner consistent with
the company Mission and Values. Essential FunctionsInsure overall
business excellence within supplier related administrative and
support processes, in order to insure vendor profitability for KeHE
and vendor satisfaction with KeHE.Collaborate internally, in a
cross-functional manner, to improve business processes that impact
suppliers in their administrative and support activities with
KeHE.Responsible for deduction management and resolution for
assigned suppliers.Responsible for supplier P&P execution and
negotiation with assigned Category Managers.Assist Pricing with
implementation of strategic pricing strategies and product
cost.Manage additional administrative aspects of assigned vendors
(e.g., aged inventory, supply chain optimization, relevant vendor
issues, and related business excellence projects throughout the
year).Meet with manufacturers, KeHE retail customers and their
buying staffs, KeHE field sales and account management staffAttend
domestic and international trade shows.Follow established company
policies and procedures in achieving the above accountabilities
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills,
AptitudeBachelor's Degree requiredWillingness to travel
domestically and internationally (frequently over
weekends)Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:Demonstrated
experience working with and, as appropriate, managing a broad array
of vendors, brokers, and importers.Demonstrated ability to
negotiate marketing support agreements with a broad array of
vendors ranging from small or emerging to large and established
entities.Demonstrated experience and facility using syndicated
purchase data and other consumption data to identify product trends
and to provide fact-based justification for product selection and
product promotion decisions.Demonstrated ability to analyze, budget
and then proactively manage profit drivers such as gross margin %,
promotional spend, spoilage, and other program expenses for
assigned vendor lines.Demonstrated skills transferring information
gained through analysis to fact based, action oriented
presentations for delivery to both internal and external stake
holders. Need to provide examples of PowerPoint, Excel and other
tools used to transfer this product and program
knowledge.Demonstrated experience and facility with Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint software. Experience with data mining software
(e.g., SAP, COGNOS) a plus. Excellent written and verbal
