Now Hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Detox Unit at Southwood Interventions, Chicago's South Side - $3,000.00 Sign On Bonus (Ask for Details). The Detox Nurse position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a critical impact in the lives of those who are struggling with addiction. https://southwoodinterventions.com/ Sunday & Monday 11pm-7am Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm Tuesday & Wednesday OFF Thursday - Saturday 3pm-11pm Nurses will perform medical risk assessments on each client, collaborate with medical practitioners for initial and ongoing medical orders, and address daily basic medical needs of admitted clients. Nurses should have knowledge in the area of medical triage, completing basic medical assessments, and maintaining an accurate medical administration record. This position requires the individual to assess, interpret, and document results of the consumer in triage. Nurses will develop and assist patients in addressing short term medical needs and collaborate with medical practitioners and team members to determine best-care treatment options. Minimum Requirements: The following educational requirements are acceptable for this classification including: - Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Illinois and two (2) years of experience; two (2) years of experience working with chemically dependent or mentally ill patients preferred. Other Qualifications: - At least twenty-one (21) years of age. - Criminal clearances and background check. - Valid driver's license from employee's state of residence. - Valid registered vehicle insurance. - Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
