Lab Technician
We are building a world-class team and are seeking a full-time Lab Technician to be responsible for testing new design/development of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. As the Technician, you will be responsible for modifying PCBAs which includes soldering of components, as well as work with the QA team to perform incoming quality inspection of NPI samples as well as production samples.
Responsibilities: -- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tests-- Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment-- Research and test vendors' and competitors' products-- Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that products conform to standards and customer requirements-- Investigate customer or public complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures-- Compile data and write reports/test procedures regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects-- Tests electronic products-- Participates in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products
Qualifications:-- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Physics. -- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design). -- Experience in design, repair, and analysis of electronic systems. -- Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.-- Proficient with Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook) software design and development systems software and Internet Explorer browser software. -- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network, and PC operating systems.-- Must be able occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
