Lab Processing Tech/Phlebotomist - Naperville, ILEdward-Elmhurst
is a 736-bed system that includes three hospitals - Edward Hospital
in Naperville, Elmhurst Hospital and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health
(on the Edward campus), and an extensive ambulatory care network
that provides comprehensive healthcare to residents of the west and
southwest suburbs of Chicago.-- --

Job Summary:----Under general supervision and according to
established policies and procedures, obtains blood and other
specimens for laboratory testing according to physicians' orders.--
In doing so, obtains needed supplies, verifies patient
identification, prepares skin site, and performs venipuncture and
skin punctures according to established aseptic techniques.--
Labels specimens and transports same to Laboratory for
analysis.--Registers patient information and orders laboratory
tests in the computer system.-- Prepares specimens for further
processing and or testing by Laboratory staff.-- The following are
general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by
assigned shift or assigned area.
Hours:-- Full-time Nights (10pm-6:30am); Includes weekend and
holiday rotations--
