Edward Elmhurst RN Emergency Department Transition Program Edward Elmhurst is delighted to be able to once again offer the RN Emergency Department Transition Program.# This program is for experienced acute care nurses who have a desire to transition into Emergency Nursing.# Join our Lantern Award Winning Emergency teams as you train alongside#our skilled and talented#ED clinicians, with both precepted clinical time on the unit and dedicated time with the ED educator.# This three-month transition program will offer you a successful transition into the specialty with support and collaboration from peers in the cohort.# Apply today, limited spots are available.# This program will start tentatively around January/February 2024. Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care #in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients# condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients# progress, and records pertinent observations.# Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.# Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.# The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.# Hours: #PM and Night Shifts are Available## Location: Edward#Hospital# Required: Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience: Bachelor#s Degree or higher in Nursing Required Education, Skills and/or Experience: #Associate Degree or higher in Nursing If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor#s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date.
