Job Description:
A Brief Overview: As a Physician – Occ Health, you will play a
vital role in delivering prompt and efficient medical care to
patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Your
expertise will help ensure that our community has access to
immediate care services when they need it most. What you will do:
Providing timely and comprehensive medical care to patients with
non-emergent conditions in the immediate care setting. Performing
initial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of
acute medical conditions, including minor injuries, infections, and
common illnesses. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such
as X-rays and laboratory tests, to aid in the diagnosis and
treatment of patients. Prescribing medications, treatments, and
referrals to specialists when necessary. Maintaining accurate and
up-to-date patient records, including patient history, treatment
plans, and follow-up instructions. Communicating effectively with
patients and their families, providing information about diagnoses,
treatment options, and self-care instructions. Collaborating with
nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a
high standard of care. Participating in quality improvement
initiatives and clinical protocols to enhance the delivery of
immediate care services. Ensuring compliance with healthcare
regulations, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements.
Addressing and mitigating compliance issues as needed. What you
will need: Doctorate Medicine Required Prior experience practicing
medicine in hospital setting Current Illinois medical license
