Job Description:
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery We are seeking a skilled and
compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide
exceptional care to patients throughout the childbirth process. The
RN will support mothers during labor, delivery, and immediate
postpartum recovery while ensuring safety, comfort, and
high-quality clinical care. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive
nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
recovery. Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, assess labor
progression, and respond to changes in condition. Assist with
deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean births, and support
emergency interventions as needed. Administer medications, IV
therapies, and pain management treatments per provider orders.
Educate patients and families on labor expectations, postpartum
care, and newborn care. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and
other healthcare professionals to support safe patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to all
clinical and safety standards. Qualifications: Current RN license
(active and unrestricted). Minimum of one year of experience in
Labor & Delivery preferred. BLS and NRP certifications required;
ACLS preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical
thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced,
high-stress clinical environments.
