Job Description:

Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the restoration/ construction industry, is hiring a Senior Human Resources Manager for a restoration and construction company, that has 9 franchise locations, servicing the Chicago and Minnesota markets. This role will be located out of the Naperville, IL location. In this role, you will partner with the business units to support all levels of management and consult with employees and managers on a wide range of Human Resources solutions, including employee relations, employee leave, conflict resolution, performance management, workforce planning, implementation of policies and procedures, and employee activities. -Benefits:

    • $75,000 plus (DOE)
    • Full Electronics Package Responsibilities:
      • Function as an effective member of the management team, setting overall direction for the company and representing the human resource functions in all planning efforts.
      • Develop consistent and fair personnel policies that comply with all federal and state regulations and that reflect the organization's core values and culture. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook.
      • Establish relevant policies and procedures for, and assist managers in timely execution of, performance assessment, employee development plans, and training programs. Coordinate and assist with all terminations, layoffs, etc.
      • Develop safety programs and policies that comply with all federal (e.g. OSHA), state and local regulations. Implement programs consistently throughout the business. Maintain and update the organization's Safety Manual.
      • Administer all employee benefit programs, maintain and update employee files and interface with payroll process as needed.
      • Work with company managers to determine hiring needs
      • Support all company functions in recruiting and hiring new employees including; posting targeted job opportunities, screening resumes and applications, conducting phone or in-person interviews, performing background screenings and other pre-employment testing
      • Implement and continually improve onboarding and new hire training process, making sure that employees feel welcomed, informed about their benefits, and prepared to excel in their roles
      • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
      • Administer compensation program; monitor performance evaluation program, provide support and revise as necessary.Requirements:
        • 7 years Human Resources experience, with at least 2 years in a HR management position
        • Strong knowledge in Illinois and Minnesota law for the above responsibilities required
        • Proven strong time management and organizational skills
        • Must exercise discretion and maintain high level of confidentiality
        • Great attention to detail
        • BA/BS in Business or Human Resources or equivalent work experience - Keywords: human resources, construction
