The Finance Systems Strategy & Initiatives Director will support
collaboration across functions to build a roadmap of innovation for
the Finance team. The position will partner with leadership in
Finance to align on plans, prioritize initiatives, determine
resource needs, help to implement the plan. The Finance Systems
Strategy & Initiatives Director will lead initiatives and support
implementation of each according to the roadmap prioritization.
Collaborate across Finance leadership to develop a systems
roadmap, to include:Prioritize system, automation, dashboard wish
list into a manageable planBased on prioritization, create a 3-year
roadmap of systems/automation requests for all of FinanceEstimate
costs to implement roadmapCreate communications of what benefits we
will achieve through the roadmap (where are we going and what will
we get from it – either in ROIs or other soft benefits and/or keep
the lights on needs)
Partner with IT to ensure visibility to the Finance Systems
Roadmap, and to establish a relationship by which Finance can
implement on the roadmap plans with minimal resource
needs/constraints from ITThis role will help to build or implement
the systems, lead the building of dashboards OR lead the project
with a third party consultant who has the necessary coding
knowledge – third party IT coding support should be included in the
cost estimates of the roadmap itself.This role should be dotted
line relationship to ensure IT is aware of our plans, but the
Finance Systems leadership role is responsible for
Support and drive implementation of prioritized systems
projects, to include:Develop project plan with business ownersBuild
and implement the systems (build the connections, move the data to
the right databases/boxes or hire contractors to do the work, as
necessary).Create visibility to status of projects, including
potential roadblocks and issue resolution plans.
Ensure implementation of roadmap components is completed on
time, on budget and on benefit.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills,
Proven history of multiple successful, large scale system
Ability to think critically, identify innovative solutions and
transform data into actionable insights
Clear concise communication across all levels of the
Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve
Experience building persuasive business cases and facilitating
multiple organizational leaders to align on prioritized system
Experience building and presenting dashboards
High attention to detail and experience completing projects on
time, on budget and on benefit required.
Must be resourceful and well organized with an ability to work
on multiple projects, across multiple leaders and with minimal
High energy level, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to
get along with diverse personalities, and flexible.
Advanced skills in Microsoft suite applications, especially
Excel, Power Point and Power BI
Education and Experience:
10-15 years experience with prioritizing technical initiatives,
building business cases and implementing multiple technology
solution projects required.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
work experience required.
