Job Summary: PerkinElmer is seeking a Global Strategic HR Business Partner to support our Diagnostics and Genomics divisions. The ideal candidate will contribute at a strategic level to support the Genomics and Diagnostics business objectives globally. In this role you will partner closely with the Regional HR community and various HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to tackle and create solutions for the most pressing talent opportunities & challenges throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing organization capability to support the business objectives, identify areas requiring focus and design programs to support the areas requiring focus, factoring in the Global HR initiatives; identify resources requirements to support such programs and contract with the Regional HR & COEs leaders in each region; get sign-off from the business on the plan; drive its implementation and monitor its execution; adjust as needed.

  • Provide meaningful & regular information to the business on the health of the organization using reliable metrics. Work with business leaders to take the relevant actions emerging from informal and formal feedback sessions.

  • Facilitate regular talent review discussions; identify key talents, meet them and get to know them and provide key inputs to their manager-developed individual development plans; carry-out "stay interview" as needed.

  • Coach managers and help them coming up with the best strategies to grow their team members. Ensure managers nurture people development.

  • Coordinate organization-wide projects (restructuring, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, etc) by adequately sharing information within the HR organization, guiding Leaders on the best approach & timelines, liaising with global stakeholders, and providing overall support throughout the whole process for its successful completion.

  • Support leaders on complex people matters.

  • Understand the future needs and capability requirements for the organization. Participate in key planning cycles. Advise leaders on strategies to progress the talent agenda and coordinate closely with relevant COEs to execute this agenda.

  • In partnership with the relevant HR COEs, support the business with key cyclical initiatives, such as Global Compensation planning, goal setting, performance reviews etc.

  • Contribute to the Global HR Strategic & operational discussions, HR Talent Reviews and overall Global HR Leadership efforts.

  • Regularly communicate business updates to the Global HRLT: performance, key initiatives, best practices.

  • Partner with the Global HRBP community to share ideas, initiatives & best practices.

Basic qualifications:

  • 15+ years of HR Business Generalist / Partnering role.

  • Min. 5 years operating in a global position, in a matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the life sciences industry supporting senior leaders and teams

  • MBA or Post Graduate degree in Human Resources.

  • Experience managing by influence.

  • Experience using Workday.

  • Demonstrated solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business

  • Demonstrated project management and change management experience

  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with internal business partners at all levels of the organization.

  • Highly collaborative and organized, with a strong ability to prioritize.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work in a self-guided manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment working on multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines. Can-do attitude.

  • High energy individual, with a problem-solving mindset, capable to drive organizational change and transition management, talent development and bottom line growth.

  • Ability to function well independently, demonstrate ownership and self-sufficiency for project management and the achievement of agreed upon results. High attention to detail and follow through.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships through all levels of the organization including executives, line operations and peers
