- Oversees the establishment of
Secuirity and Signalling testing programs and the coordination of
activities within the labs.
- Identifies and pursues the
development of requirements for test procedures beyond the scope of
existing standards and requirements involving unique features and
requiring the use of independent judgment.
- Manages the development and
maintenance of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
- Establishes and maintains the
test proficiency training program and competencies for laboratory
- Manages the performance of
direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing
performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and
ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered
- Implements policies, procedures,
and practices mandated for the laboratories to ensure compliance to
ISO 17025 as well as other defined accreditation requirements for
the designated laboratories.
- Integrates continuous
improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job
utilizing the Lean Sigma approach.
- Performs other duties as
- High School Diploma or GED
required. Additional education in Engineering, Industrial
Technology, Management, or similar preferred.
- 12-15 years of experience in a
manufacturing, laboratory, or other industrial
- Prior leadership experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft
- Experience leading process
improvement initiatives preferred.
- Strong written and oral
COVID-19 protocols and policies in place. Business related travel
on behalf of UL requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
