Job Description:
SummaryThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the
entire accounts payable processing cycle for 5 separate entities
within the Illinois Credit Union System, while also providing
clerical and administrative support as needed. This position
combines an understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable
principals, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The
Accounts Payable Specialist is highly organized and detail
oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.Required
Skills Independent thinker who can take direction and initiate
actionEfficient, organized, detail oriented, able to multitask and
have strong technology and communication skillsStrong sense of
professionalism, be upbeat, energetic and reliableTake ownership of
and pride in his/her workTeam player willing to help others in
department when neededPreferred Experience 3 years in corporate
accounting environmentStrong Problem Solving skillsExcellent skills
with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (advanced)Excellent verbal and
written communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
and Salesforce CRM is preferredOther Physical and/or Special
RequirementsSitting and working on a computer for long periods of
