faith, justice, and excellence? The Annual Fund & Grants Manager
plays a key role in advancing the school's mission by cultivating
meaningful relationships with individual and foundation donors and
growing philanthropic support through a strategic, year-round
annual fund. Working collaboratively across the Advancement team,
this role strengthens stewardship, ensures data integrity, and
supports grant writing efforts that sustain the school's operations
and long-term impact, all in service of Jesuit values and mission.
JOB SUMMARY The Annual Fund & Grants Manage r is primarily
responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive, strategic,
and integrated effort to build a base of individual and foundation
donors and increase philanthropic support through the annual fund.
This Manager leads year-round cultivation, solicitations, and
stewardship efforts which support the school's annual operational
fundraising goals. Additionally, the Manager will oversee database
integrity and utilization, as well as the execution of departmental
grant-writing and reporting activities. The Annual Fund & Grants
Manager works closely with the Advancement Associate, the Marketing
and Communications Supervisor, and the Events & Community
Engagement Manager and reports to the Senior Advancement Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a working knowledge of Cristo Rey Jesuit
High School's Catholic, Jesuit mission in general, and funding
priorities specifically, to articulate a compelling case for
support to various constituent groups. Plan and implement a
comprehensive, multifaceted annual appeals program for key
constituents to support the school's mission and build a pipeline
of support to improve participation, dollars raised, and donors
engaged. Manage a portfolio of annual donors: identify, cultivate,
and maintain relationships with foundation-based program officers
and individual donors in collaboration with organizational
leadership. Research, qualify, cultivate, and solicit individuals
capable of making an annual gift of $1,000 or more. Prioritize and
submit grant proposals, and coordinate/execute all impact
reporting. Work to identify and lead relationship development with
new grant-making partners. Identify and develop a comprehensive
plan for increased matching and recurring gifts. Develop reports as
needed to inform fund strategy and to measure fundraising progress.
Track and measure the effectiveness of solicitations, annual fund,
KPI, and strategic initiatives to determine progress toward goals.
Participate in educational and professional development
opportunities to further the personal and organizational growth of
philanthropy at CRJ. Attend community-sponsored evening and weekend
activities, as required. Perform other duties as assigned,
including assignments not specific to the annual fund.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 5years of experience in
fundraising. CFRE encouraged. A strong team player, demonstrated
self-starter, and motivational leader with excellent interpersonal
skills, requiring minimal supervision, and a desire to work in a
fast-paced environment on multiple tasks. Ability to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing with a keen attention to
detail. Desire and ability to support the Catholic and Ignatian
character of the school. Proficient with Microsoft Office and
Google Suite; experience with fundraising & constituent management
database required. DonorPerfect experience is preferred. About
