Opportunity Overview:
We are looking for an Analyst that has experience using design
thinking to discover and deliver solutions and is a thought leader
in the application of data and business analysis to human-centered
design challenges. You'll be joining our diverse team of problem
solvers that employ design and systems thinking to conceptualize
and develop high-impact, creative outcomes for market impact.
- Autonomously lead multidisciplinary teams of associates and
leaders through the business analysis elements of strategic
transformational frameworks in pursuit of discovery and innovation
across the enterprise.
- Lead the opportunity sizing and project evaluation of novel
complex problem spaces and solutions with multiple variables and
user groups.
- Lead the decomposition of innovative solutions into human and
business capabilities and sequence them for development.
- Lead the Test and Learn and measurement strategy development
for in field testing in partnership with firm senior leaders and
cross-disciplinary teams. This may include identifying measures,
alignment of measures influenced by the problem and solution(s) of
an engagement from project definition through
execution/release.
- Creatively solve complex problems from user perspectives,
business needs, and research inputs, while applying their own
informed views and experience.
- Act as a thought leader representing the USER voice within the
firm and in field testing. Enhance user experience, test support
and firm launch capabilities through coaching, leadership, and
knowledge sharing
- Identify, map, and communicate impacted processes and scenarios
from an end user point of view.
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written venues to senior
level leaders the impact and analysis of the engagement supporting,
and in comparison, to other firm priorities.
- Quickly build trusting relationships. Provide coaching,
feedback, and guidance to squad members.
- Demonstrate agility in ambiguous and complex circumstances to
achieve the desired outcome.
- Provide day to day people and process leadership, without
direct management authority, to a multi-disciplinary team made up
of both leaders and associates. (for the BA portions)
- Lead alignment between design, business, and delivery
workstreams to integrate business analytics, business capabilities,
user and market research into the solutioning process to ensure
outcomes delivered appropriately balance user value, business
value, and feasibility.
- Exercises strong critical thinking and sound judgment while
independently making decisions within projects with some
consultation and oversight from senior level associates and
leaders.--- In doing so, the analyst must:
- Evaluate a range of potential capabilities including change
management, design thinking, process design, process improvement,
and project/program management to achieve the project's desired
outcome
- Guide business areas through the Test and Learn process
framework to determine the most efficient and effective research
designs for their business process
- Investigate and resolve escalations with varying and high
degrees of complexity risk, and impact involving different
functional groups including legal, compliance, and field
supervision
- Learn and communicate the principles of design thinking,
process improvement, data analysis, business design, test & learn
and change management to a wide variety of audiences to gain the
buy-in and understanding needed to drive transformational change
across the enterprise. Contribute to the development and/or
improvement of processes that have firm-wide benefits, changing the
fundamental way the firm does business with regard to a particular
client segment or strategy. Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of applicable work experience
- Design Thinking experience, innovation, incubation, valuation,
management consulting, stats proficiency, and direct or indirect
people leadership experienced preferred
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills,
building relationships at all levels of the organization, and
effectively tailoring messaging and approach to multiple
audiences
- Ability to quickly engage and inspire a diverse,
multi-disciplinary team
- Expertise in systems thinking
- Change agility and comfort operating and flexing in
ambiguity
- Experience in Devops Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Agile,
Waterfall, etc.) desired
- Experience with analysis tools/software like MiniTab, Tableau,
etc, preferred IBM EDT Co-Creator badge required w/in 12 months of
hire Problem Solving:
The degree to which problems are complex or non-routine. The amount
of fact finding, analysis and creativity required to solve
problems. The degree to which problems address single or multiple
issues. Give examples of the types of problems solved and the
frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, annually, etc.).
- Leverage existing and create new human-centered problem-solving
analysis frameworks in response to the needs of the problem
- Incorporate data and insights from across the firm and partner
with additional enablement areas to commission new data and
insights or recommend killing an engagement to ensure the best
outcome Required to develop and enhance processes as required for
consistent analysis techniques Decision Making:
- The level of authority for making decisions and the degree of
risk involved (the extent to which decisions are made without
review and the corresponding business impact of those decisions).
The extent to which decisions are governed by precedent,
procedures, and guidelines versus broad direction.
- Autonomously make decisions in collaboration with the business
owner around the analysis and approach for cross-divisional and
enterprise efforts 60% by precedent, 40% broad direction Span of
Influence:
- The breadth and depth of work performed. The influence of the
position in affecting business results of a department, division or
the entire firm, i.e., the scope of the job. The extent of
responsibility for hiring, terminating, performance reviews and
other human resource decisions.
- Efforts supporting have cross-divisional and enterprise impact
Provides detailed performance and competency feedback to squad
members and their leaders as a primary input to performance reviews
