Who we are looking for:
Atkore is launching a new strategic business initiative to address the ever-changing needs of our global customers as they develop mega and multi-site construction programs around the world. On these projects our customers are often Owners, Specifying Engineers, General Contractors and Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Subcontractors and Off-Site Manufacturing Companies all working in partnership. This role specifically coordinates Atkore's capabilities to address the needs and appropriately develop a value proposition across these customers toward securing the largest available share of the goods and services available.
We are currently looking for a Vice President Strategic Account to be based out of one of our primary North American locations. Reporting to President, Construction & Prefab Services & VPGM Metal Framing N.A, and dotted line to President Cable Management and Protection. This person will be responsible for driving and delivering key accounts strategy within a number of vertical markets. The role will be expected to manage and grow key accounts within vertical markets such as but not limited to, Data Centers, semiconductor, electrical infrastructure including the EV Market.
What you'll do:

  • Lead vertical market key accounts across North America and globally, build vertical specific marketing plans including cross channel portfolios. Manage and coordination of strategic vertical projects
  • Drive revenue growth across key accounts and global footprint, drive sales across full Atkore portfolio of products
  • Identify and introduce Atkore portfolio-based solutions including technical specification to meet vertical market end user needs
  • Negotiate large scale project parameters and financials, identify possible M&A targets within Vertical markets
  • Be well versed in LEAN methodology and business processes in identifying strategic priorities and establishing metrics supporting deliverables as well as understand how to lead the team through a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to navigate enterprise organizations' landscape to develop and expand relationships at all levels while driving large-scale, high-visibility, strategic initiatives for customer
  • Be an excellent coordinator of Atkore resources outside their direct per view to ensure all efforts are in sync and offer the greatest benefit to our customers and channel partners including establishing and working within existing national programs, directing bid efforts across multiple Strategic Business Units (SBU's)
  • Possess the ability to build and manage a broad pipeline of work across multiple regions and manage a teams of Account managers responsible for geographies, Program Mangers dedicated to specific owners and teams created to support client build campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Sales, Support, and Execs) to complete customer goals, be the voice of the customer to provide visibility and/or escalations and maintain strong reference ability across customers.
  • Have a deep understanding of workings of the construction industry and contemporary delivery methods and understand and know how to deal with the often-competing priorities of the various parties while knowing how to navigate through the multiple levels of project executive, project management and procurement toward successful award.
  • Strong emphasis on people management and sourcing talent into the business

    • A proven track record in managing long cycle projects.
    • Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree in business / engineering or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10+ years of sales and management experience
    • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated strong Project Management experience/skills with ability to juggle and complete multiple priorities /projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work globally
    • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
    • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
    • Proficient computers knowledge (Microsoft Office, HRIS, Salesforce, etc)
    • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and with customers
    • 50% + travel may be required.
