Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a Regional Construction Manager to be based out of Addison, IL. Reporting to the National Construction Manager this person will be responsible for overseeing installation projects, control of project labor, material procurement, project efficiencies/productivity, and overall project costs. This position will oversee the operations of the region including the direct reporting of Project Managers, Superintendents/Foremen, and Construction Administrator.
The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, leadership, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a requirement.
What you'll do:

• 
  
• Direct all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, bid completion, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project.
  
• Drive safety initiatives and expectations for the region.
  
• Drive improvements in gross margin attained on construction projects using lean tools and concepts.
  
• Be accountable for the Drafting, Estimating, and Sales teams with overall P/L accountability for the associated Region.
  
• Travel approximately 25%
  
  What you'll bring:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or other related functional areas
    
  • A minimum 10 years of experience in construction management or related fields, including construction inspection, estimating, scheduling, and project controls
    
  • Experience leading and managing a large team of project managers and field installers.
    
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
    
    Within 3 months, you'll:
    
    • 
      
    • Learn the Atkore Business System
      
    • Learn our internal software and programs (eCMS, Salesforce, Procore)
      
    • Participate in coordination meetings with all internal and external team members
      
    • Travel to construction sites
      
      Within 6 months, you'll:
      
      • 
        
      • Take ownership of direct reports and work group
        
      • Maintain/oversee daily office operations
        
      • Lead performance tracking, coaching, training, and development of direct reports and regional group efforts
        
      • Assist Regional Sales Managers
        
        Within 12 months, you'll:
        
        • 
          
        • Schedule projects and track progress
          
        • Analyze and approve final bids that make up the final estimate for a project
          
        • Forecast regional revenue and margin expectations on a weekly basis
          
        • Monitor project costs against final approved budget
